  • Welcome.

Welcome to The School House B&B, where you can relax and enjoy escaping to the idyllic Shropshire Hills AONB. We have three spacious rooms, each of which has its own unique features and views across the surrounding hills.

    Our Rooms.

All rooms are en-suite with large walk-in showers. Our Caradoc room also has a double-ended bath. The beds are either superking or king-size. The Brineddin room can be set up as either double or twin and has its own lounge whilst the other two rooms have sofas within them.

There are plenty of home-from-home comforts and some tasty treats on your welcome tray. Redlake is our ground floor dog-friendly room and has its own private entrance. Each room has a television with Free-Sat and a silent fridge in which you can store your goodies. Wine glasses and a bottle opener are also provided.

    Discover Shropshire.

We are close to Ludlow with its castle, markets and medieval architecture. There are several National Trust properties and gardens nearby such as Powis Castle, Stokesay Castle and Berrington Hall.

There are many walks to be done in the area either from our front door or from nearby areas such as the Long Mynd or the Stiperstones. With their fine landscapes and viewpoints places as far away as Snowdonia can be seen whilst walking across the heathlands and moorlands of South Shropshire.

For those wanting tours and trails in the area we can recommend the services of local companies that have expert knowledge.

Chapel Lawn is an area that benefits from peace and quiet, particularly at night with dark skies making it ideal for spending time studying the constellations. There is very little traffic that passes through Chapel Lawn.
